Elpida was born and raised in Athens where she started dancing ballet and contemporary at the age of 4.While she was a teenager she was learning simultaneously many different styles of dance such as hip-hop, Latin and tap dancing .When she was 18 Elpida entered on scholarships to study In Greek National School of Dance where she graduated in 2018. During her studies she was chosen by Antony Lachky to perform Special Gala with the Hellenic Dance Company in Megaro Mousikis. After finishing her studies, Elpida started to work as a professional dancer and she participated in the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, where she performed Exercise 27 by Christos Papadopoulos. In 2019, Elpida decided to search her future abroad and she achieved to join Akram Khan Company. Her first project with the company was Father: Vision of The Floating World, which was performed in Bangladesh in 2020 as part of the 100 years anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Sheik Mujib on Tuesday 17 March 2020 in Dhaka, Bangladesh and was also featured as part of Akram’s episode in the NETFLIX Series MOVE. While she was some months in Athens she was an Assistant Choreographer and a dancer for a RootlessRoot production in a collaboration with the Greek National Opera for the project Finality which was performed in 2021. This project was part of a big celebration of 200 years of Greek Revolution. From 2020 to 2022 Elpida was chosen by Akram Khan Company to performed on Outwitting the Devil a extraordinary and powerful piece and she did a worldwide tour for two years with Akram Khan Company. She had the opportunity through this tour to travel to many countries such as Abu Dhabi, Tel -Aviv, Romania and almost the whole Europe and perform in many different and historical theaters such as Hrwdeio Theater. In 2023 she was a part of a music video “Insirgents’’ of Aditya Prakash choreographed by Akram Khan. Currently, Elpida is going to be a part of Jungle Book Reimagined, the new production of Akram Khan and will be on tour until 2024 .
